Our Core Health Program Schedules

Nursing Assistant Training Program (NATP)

Schedule

Our 164-hour Nursing Assistant Training Program prepares students for a career as a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) through classroom, skills lab, and supervised clinical training. Graduates receive a Certificate of Completion and are eligible to take the California CNA certification exam.

Our 40-hour Home Health Aide (HHA) Training Program provides classroom and supervised clinical training to prepare Certified Nursing Assistants (CNAs) for in-home patient care. Students gain the skills needed to assist with daily living activities, personal care, medication support, and basic health services. Graduates receive a Certificate of Completion and 24 CE contact hours toward California CNA certification.

Sterile Processing Technician (SPT) Training Program

Schedule

Our 120-hour Sterile Processing Technician (SPT) Training Program provides classroom instruction and hands-on skills training to prepare students for careers in sterile processing. Students learn instrument decontamination, sterilization, inventory management, and surgical equipment handling. Graduates receive a Certificate of Completion, are prepared to take the CBSPD certification exam, and may qualify for an externship upon certification.

Director of Staff Development (DSD) Training Program

Our 24-hour Director of Staff Development (DSD) Training Program prepares licensed nurses for leadership roles in skilled nursing facilities and CNA training programs. Students learn curriculum development, lesson planning, staff education, and program evaluation. Graduates receive 24 CE hours and meet the California Department of Public Health (CDPH) training requirements for DSD certification.


Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) Course by American Heart Association

Our Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) course equips healthcare professionals with the skills to manage cardiac emergencies through high-quality CPR, advanced airway management, pharmacology, team communication, and post-cardiac arrest care. The course includes hands-on skills practice and testing with an American Heart Association instructor. Upon successful completion, students receive an AHA ACLS certification.

BLS / CPR Training Course by American Heart Association

Our American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support (BLS) CPR course provides hands-on training in adult, child, and infant CPR, AED use, and choking response. Designed for both initial certification and renewal, this 4.5-hour course prepares participants to respond confidently in emergency situations. Upon successful completion, students receive a two-year AHA BLS certification.


Continuing Education and Professional Development for RN’s/LVN’s/CNA’s

Niles College offers Continuing Education (CE) courses for RNs, LVNs, CNAs, and HHAs to help healthcare professionals maintain licensure, expand their skills, and advance their careers. Our state-approved courses provide the required continuing education hours for license and certification renewal, including California's 48-hour renewal requirement for CNAs.
